… for issues such as sadness, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship troubles, grief, childhood problems, stress, life transitions (like a move or a job, fertility/pregnancy or family changes, or school change), culture and identity, health, low self-esteem, or creative blocks. You may be growing, and your identity might be shifting in new ways that you'd like to strengthen and explore in a positive, non-judgmental, environment.

In the therapy session YOU are the focus. Your feeling safe, supported and understood is vital to the therapy process. I will fully engage with you and with the process of our interaction.

Depending on your preferences and the goals of our work, there may be times when I mainly listen, amplify, and help you explore; there may be other times when I push you, ask questions, or offer alternative perspectives. I draw from various approaches, tailored to best suit your needs. Our work may be more “productive” or more contemplative; shifts can be quiet and take time to notice, or can be astonishing and move blocks in a palpable way.

Therapy for individuals and couples, in Spanish or English. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients' individual style, needs, and goals. Patients bring a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues, so feel free to just ask if you don't see your concern listed in the practice areas below.

Cash or check are accepted, and payment is due at the end of session. Some sliding scale may be available, depending on individual circumstances.

No insurance is accepted. However, many people find that they are able to get some reimbursement from their insurance. I encourage you to call your insurance company to check. I'll give you a monthly "superbill" which includes a treatment code, a diagnosis code, and my financial information. You may submit this to your insurance company.

Weekly or twice-weekly sessions are the usual pattern, and are the most productive way to work.

I also provide supervision and consultation.
